We’re a local, family owned ISP (Internet Service Provider). We have been providing services to local and regional customers, starting in 1996 as Oregon Internet Properties and officially becoming it’s own entity in 2010. We specialize in the following areas:
- Domain Name registration and renewal: Companies with their own website first need to register a domain name (e.g. Earthclick.net). You’re only licensing the domain name, so you have to pay a renewal fee every year. Domain names can be registered for up to 10 years at a time. We provide free assistance to our customers in choosing an appropriate name, setting it up, and managing the registration.
- Website Hosting: In general, websites must be hosted using a publicly accessible “hosting provider.” We provide a secure hosting platform as well as “DNS” (Domain Name Service) for each domain that we host.
- Domain Name Service (DNS): Internet services such as Website Hosting and Email are technically identified using an IP address. DNS translates a domain name (earthclick.net) or service into the IP number (149.248.33.169), essentially acting as an Internet traffic manager.
- Email: short for “electronic mail,” is a service that allows people to send, receive, and store messages, attachments, and multimedia content over the internet or other computer networks. Our email service allows messages up to 30Mb.
- Email Archiving: a service to retain incoming and outgoing emails for up to ten years. Our archiving service is immutable (you can’t alter or delete emails), so it satisfied legal requirements for discovery in the event you are sued.
- Backup: in addition to advice, we provide several backup solutions that can help you recover data from your personal or network computer, server, website, or email. This includes Carbonite, MSP360, and more.
- Voice Over IP (VOIP): an Internet-based service that allows you to make voice calls and faxes instead of using traditional hard lines from the phone company.
